Toronto Youth Priority Symposium

“An open dialogue between youth and mayoral candidates in Toronto”

On September 2nd 2010, the Toronto Youth Priority Symposium (TYPS) will bring together over 200 youth from Toronto’s priority neighbourhoods, high schools and universities, in order to define a set of priorities for youth and ensure that these priorities are at the forefront of Toronto’s municipal agenda and our aspiring elected leaders are held accountable.  All of the leading mayoral candidates will be in attendance.

Event Details:

The event will be held on Thursday September 2nd at The University of Toronto, in The Great Hall at Hart House (please note change of venue).

5:30-7:00pm – Marketplace/networking

7:00-8:30pm – Discussion with Mayoral Candidates

Who:

The Toronto Youth Priority Symposium is an event organized and implemented by six recent graduates of the Creative Institute for Toronto Young (CITY) Leaders as part of their group Action Learning Project.  CITY Leaders is a leadership initiative of United Way Toronto.

10,000 Youth Stand is an initiative that strives to engage young people from racialized communities ages 16-29 in the political process.
